Okay, so I under­stand bet­ter, but what does the ser­vice actu­ally include?

Firstly we check your com­puter or lap­top to see if it does actu­ally need a rein­stall and if your copy is gen­uine unless you’ve specif­i­cally asked us to rein­stall Win­dows on it. If you don’t need a rein­stall, we will advise you via tele­phone (we’ll ring you!) and if you don’t have a gen­uine copy we would have a chat to you about it.

If you’ve asked us to keep your data we’ll first find your data, check it’s integrity and start per­form­ing a backup. Most of the time this ser­vice is included in the price of the rein­stall unless you have lots, hard to recover or dif­fi­cult to recover data — in which case we’ll advise you of any costs or dif­fi­cul­ties before we go ahead.

We’ll then fully wipe your com­puter (for­mat). After that, we do a cou­ple of hard­ware checks then start load­ing Win­dows back on (installing Win­dows). We use the license key that’s already on your com­puter or laptop.

We enter all the cor­rect set­tings and install the best hard­ware dri­vers for your com­puter or lap­top — this can some­times be dif­fi­cult and is com­monly the rea­son other peo­ple & tech­ni­cians strug­gle. We, how­ever, have our own meth­ods of this and actu­ally pro­vide dri­ver assi­tance to oth­ers via our forum.

We tweak your Win­dows instal­la­tion so that it runs a bit faster than usual, install some updates and pop some soft­ware on there to get you started — such as media play­ers, Inter­net browsers, office soft­ware & more.

Finally, we set up the Inter­net Secu­rity and Anti Virus on your com­puter or lap­top. We use either Bull­guard or Kasper­sky, com­monly Bull­guard though. Our Inter­net Secu­rity pack­ages have 1 year licenses and are 3 user edi­tions, so you can use the same disc another 2 times on other com­put­ers (using your user­name & password).
