We’ve expanded our Apple services!

We have another new line of repair! We now repair iPods and iPhones.
That means we repair basically all the “i” series of Apple Devices.

(We still don’t fix phones though — just iPhones as they’re a bit like small computers)

Which iPhones and iPods do we repair?

Well as we all know there are many types of iPods and iPhones.

See below for more in-depth details.

  • iPhone 2G

  • iPhone 3G

  • iPhone 3G-S

  • iPhone 4

  • iPod Touch

  • iPod Touch 2G (Second Gen)

  • iPod Touch 3G (Third Gen)

  • iPod Video

  • iPod Classic

  • iPod Shuffle

  • iPod Nano

What problems do we repair?

We repair all kinds of problems with these devices.

See below for more in-depth details.

  • Broken Screens

This is by far the most common repair we do on iPhones and iPods.

We can repair all screens on these devices.

Get in touch with us for a quote on replacing the screen on your device.

  • Just stopped working, No power, Won’t turn on

Obviously we can’t tell you what this might be. We do repair many devices like this though. Most end up being caused by a faulty battery, mainboard and/or liquid damage. Get the device to us and have us look at it.

  • Touch screen doesn’t work

This is very common. A touchscreen is called a “Digitizer”. Digitizers can go faulty on their own or because they’ve been damaged. Common damage to digitizers is water and impact.

Get in touch with us for a quote for your device.

  • No sound

Now what’s the point of an iPod or iPhone that doesn’t have sound?

This can be caused by different faults, depending on your type of device. Sometimes it’s a faulty chip on the board, a faulty board, a faulty headphone jack, faulty speakers and/or something not listed here.

Get in touch with us for an estimate and to get it looked at by us.

  • Battery doesn’t hold charge

This is most likely caused by a faulty battery. We can replace batteries in iPods and iPhones. Get in touch with us for a quote.

  • Faulty hard drive, hard drive not working, iPod sad face

If you own an iPod then you’ve probably heard of this problem or had it yourself. If theres a strange clicking or whirring noise coming from your iPod (Classic or Video), you’ve got a sad face and/or songs won’t play/load then you’ve probably got a faulty hard drive.

We can replace the hard drive in your iPod.

Get in touch. The things that affect the price are the type of your device and the size of the hard drive you want. You can have a bigger hard drive fitted.

  • Replacement case

Your iPhone or iPod case scratched, damaged, cracked? Don’t worry.

We can change the case colour, too! I.e. if you have a black iPhone and wish you’d got a white one, we can arrange that for you for as little as £45.

  • Jailbreaking and Unlocking

Looking to unlock your iPhone to another network?
Or to jailbreak it to allow the installation of third party applications?

Such third party applications can provide for functions such as battery saving, file editing, advanced networking, increased security, increased connectivity and extreme customisation.

We can Jailbreak iPhones and iPod touches

Please note that Jailbreaking and unlocking may void your warranty with Apple, which we will not be held responsible for. There is also a chance, as with all firmware modifications, that your iPhone may be damaged in the process (“bricked”) and we will not be held responsible for this — although we would not expect payment. (This has never happened with us and hopefully never will but we have to write the disclaimer.)

Jailbreaking and unlocking costs £25

Not all iPhones and iPods can be Jailbroken or unlocked.

  • Android Rooting and Unlocking

Similar to iPhone Jailbreaking, we can root android devices. This means that we can install custom firmware which allows the installation of third party root level applications, specially, superuser (su) which allows the execution (running) of elevated applications on the device.

Rooting allows the installation of modified custom firmware — this can be more up to date than original firmware and contain more applications, customisations and tweaks.

Root enabled applications include such functions as firewalls, battery optimizers, overclockers, startup managers, advanced task management, event based tasks (i.e. adjust volume and play music when headphones connected), advanced backups and much much more.

Please note that rootingand unlocking may void your warranty, which we will not be held responsible for. There is also a chance, as with all firmware modifications, that your android device may be damaged in the process (“bricked”) and we will not be held responsible for this — although we would not expect payment. (This has never happened with us and hopefully never will but we have to write the disclaimer.)

A lot of android phones can be unlocked when rooted. We can include unlocking for no extra charge after rooting.

Rooting (and unlocking where possible) android devices costs £25.

Not all android devices can be rooted or unlocked.

How much does it cost?

Sorry, we can’t possibly write out all the prices on a website. This is mainly because when damage is done, multiple parts are damaged so we need to examine the device to find out what needs replacing/repairing. There are also factors that affect price which require us to examine the device

Get in touch for an estimate, though!
